Rider in town
- The buyer gets a delivery code on their link.
- They check the item at the door first.
- Happy? They give the rider the code — the seller is paid.
- Not right? They reject it at the door and get a full refund when it’s back with the seller.
PAY SAFE. BUY SURE.
VendOwoPay holds the buyer’s money until the item arrives. The seller gets paid when the buyer is happy. If it never comes, the buyer gets every naira back.

The old way
“I paid, then the vendor stopped replying. Or what came wasn’t what I saw on the page.”
“Buyers won’t pay first, and pay-on-delivery means riders coming back with the item and no money.”
VendOwoPay sits in the middle: the buyer pays into safe hold, the seller ships, and the money moves only when the item has arrived.
How it works
Step 1
The seller sends a VendOwoPay link on WhatsApp or Instagram. The buyer confirms their phone and pays — the money is held, not sent to the seller.
Step 2
Their own rider in town, or a motor park for interstate. No new logistics — VendOwoPay only watches the money.
Step 3
The buyer checks the item, then confirms with a code. The money goes straight to the seller’s bank account.
Two ways to deliver
For sellers
For buyers
Fees
Buyers pay nothing extra by default. The seller chooses on each deal who pays the fee: the seller, the buyer, or half each.
Cancelled before shipping? No fee — the buyer gets everything back.
Safety
Sellers confirm their identity with their BVN or NIN and a live selfie before they can be paid.
Delivery codes are stored scrambled and work once. Five wrong tries lock the deal for review.
If something goes wrong, a reviewer looks at both sides — photos, waybills — before any money moves.
Money goes only to a bank account in the seller’s verified name. Changing it needs a fresh code and a 24-hour wait.
VendOwoPay will never call you for a code, or ask you to pay outside the VendOwoPay page. If anyone does, it’s a scam.
FAQ
No. Buyers open the seller’s link in their phone’s browser, confirm their phone number with a code, and pay by card, bank transfer or USSD.
VendOwoPay holds it for that one deal, through our payment partner. It isn’t a wallet and it can’t be spent — it can only go to the seller when the buyer confirms, or back to the buyer.
In town: when the buyer gives the rider their delivery code. Interstate: when the buyer confirms, or when their 24–48 hour check time ends with no complaint.
The buyer gets a full refund. If the seller says it was delivered and the buyer says it wasn’t, a VendOwoPay reviewer decides from the evidence.
They can create deals, and buyers can see they aren’t verified yet. But a seller can’t be paid until they verify — so the buyer’s money stays safe either way.
No. Sellers use their own rider, courier or motor park. We only hold and release the money.
The VendOwoPay seller app is coming to the App Store and Google Play. Buyers don’t need it — just the link.
